Two automated systems built to behave differently: one follows the index, one fades the stretch.
Leg 1: US30 (Dow Jones), short-term charts. Trades with the trend, using a combination of technical indicators to time entries. A news filter keeps it out of the market around major economic releases, when index spreads and slippage tend to spike.
Leg 2: Forex, mean-reversion grid scalping. Looks for price to stretch beyond its normal range, then opens positions betting on a pullback. Positions are added at set intervals as price moves, and the whole basket closes together at a small combined profit target.
The two approaches tend to be strong in different conditions: trend-following does best when markets run, mean-reversion when they chop. That is the point of running them together.
Risk. Leg 2 uses grid averaging, so floating drawdown can get deep during a sustained move against the account before baskets close. Wins are frequent and small, and a rare losing basket can be much larger than a typical win. Treat this as a satellite allocation sized to what you can afford to see swing.
Instruments: US30 + Forex (mean-reversion grid) Style: Two automated systems, trend-following plus grid mean-reversion Risk tier: High Minimum recommended balance: $1,000+
