Northgate trades a single instrument — the US30 index — through a fully automated, rules-based grid strategy. It takes no discretionary or news-driven positions; it works the index's intraday range systematically, adding and closing positions according to fixed logic rather than market opinion. As with any grid approach, floating exposure can run deeper than realized drawdown before positions close out — this is a structural feature of the strategy, not a sign something has gone wrong. Best suited to subscribers who are comfortable holding through periods of floating drawdown in exchange for a disciplined, single-instrument system with no manual intervention.
