I am trading on an intraday basis and tend to complete all trades within a day timeframe or at least by the end of the week to avoid unexpected and uncontrollable outcomes. My target is 1% daily but I am happy with less on a tough day. I do not trade daily if I do not see a good entry. Always set your positions to be max 1 lot per 10,000 Eur/USD and consider the fact that I open around 10-20 positions - so each entry with 10,000 USD account would be 0.1 lot.
